21st Belfast ( Windsor ) Scout Group

21st participates in Anniversary Celebrations of Windsor Presbyterian Church

For the past decade, Windsor Presbyterian Church has celebrated its foundation on 27th March 1887 with an Anniversary Service to which all the church organisations are invited to participate.  The 21st Scout Group has played a prominent part in the past celebrations and this year was no exception. 

On Sunday 27th March over 30 young people and leaders from Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels of the 21st Scout Group where present in church, supported by many parents, family members and friends.  The Beavers read several scripture passages and were presented with the Friendship Challenge badge by the Rev. Erskine during the service.   Together, the Beavers and Cubs sang three (3) pieces with Eoghan Turkington – Cub singing a solo, all under the direction of Mrs Evelyn Todd, the church organist and choirmaster.  .

Last but not least, Ellie Falls from the Beaver colony, presented a cheque from the Scout Group for £150 to the Guide Dogs For the Blind represented by Joe and his guide dog ‘Finn’. The Group raised the donation by selling pens and filling Smartie tubes with loose coins.

Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs begin on Thursday 18 September:

Squirrels for ages 4 -5 from 6.15 to 7.15 pm

Beavers for ages 6 - 7  from 6.15 to 7.15 pm

Cubs for ages 8 - 10 from 7.15 to 8.30 pm
